My name is Julie Beyer, I am whole foods chef for the everyday and am currently studying to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I am the founder of For the Love of Food, a business dedicated to helping people integrate healthy eating to their everyday lives in a way that is quick, easy, convenient, affordable and delicious. My passion is to inspire you make conscious food choices for your health, the planet, and communities all around the world
I’ve created an EBook with one-week menu plan (almost like a mini-crash course in whole foods) designed to (hopefully!) make eating organic whole plant foods quick, easy, convenient, affordable and of course delicious.
The plan focuses on affordable whole food ingredients, includes tips for learning the art of whole food flavour combining, nutrition tips, challenges to help you discover your “Inner Everyday Chef” and is based on using the least amount of dishes possible to create a wide variety of meal options so you don’t get bored. It is sort of like a mini crash course on becoming your own “Everyday Healthy Chef”.
7 brave Vancouverites have agreed to take the challenge and see if they can eat only whole organic plant based foods for one week – while still living their busy life, learning about nutrition, new whole food lifestyle and cooking skills, and of course enjoying it. Participants will be supplied with instructions, a shopping list, a menu outline and of course recipes. Can the “impossible” be possible??
Participants will contribute blog postings about their experiences including the good, the bad, the ugly, the delicious and the fun. Their feedback will be incorporated to improve the menu plans and that will eventually make available to you! Stay tuned this week to find out how the contestants are doing with the 2011 Whole Foods Challenge – for healthy people, healthy environment and a more peaceful world.
Also Bridget, a co-founder of The Vegan Project, and challenge participant, will be doing a vegan whole food demo on Breakfast Television, tomorrow (Tuesday January 11th), so tune into CityTV from 6am-9am to see what she’s going to make!
